Meet our community:
Sarah, sales director of closed

STATEMENT cultivates its difference in the choice of materials and the expression of meaningful creativity. It is this singularity that our clients, like Sarah, seek. Mother of two children and Sales Director for the ready-to-wear brand Closed , she is passionate about her work. Always on the lookout for new trends and emerging brands, this Parisian by birth, American at heart, is very attached to the jewelry that she proudly wears every day.

How did you hear about STATEMENT?

Via social media. One day I came across the My Way ring and it was like it spoke to me. Like when you walk into a boutique and say to yourself, ‘this dress is mine, it’s this one and no other.’”

Jewelry is like tattoos to me, it belongs to us and is connected to our soul.

When it comes to jewelry, I don't have a classic approach at all. I like pieces that no one knows yet, I mix them with status pieces, others more ethnic, vintage and contemporary. With my job, it's essential to be at the forefront and I was very happy to be one of the first to know about STATEMENT. So I talked about it a lot around me, especially to my friends in the industry .

Which STATEMENT piece are you wearing?

For now I only wear the My Way ring in semi-pavé silver but I have spotted others! Like the Stairway XL earring in all silver . I wear my ring on my index finger, every day, even on vacation. It has become my “Best Friend Ever .”

Why did you choose money?

" The combination of silver and stones is a powerful symbol for me. It's like combining something simple and basic with something extremely luxurious and brilliant. It evokes a kind of passage, a rite, from shadow to light. "

How do you feel different when you wear this ring?

It embodies everything I love, and if I could have designed it, it would have been identical. I received it at a special moment, a turning point in my life. This piece of jewelry marks the end of one story and the beginning of a new one. It’s like a shield that expresses strength, that of women today, of their place in society. We don’t realize the pressure that rests on our shoulders, as a mother, woman, friend, wife, employee… The mental load is enormous. So I think we need to treat ourselves a little with little things that we can rely on, that can comfort us, like a piece of jewelry for example.

How do they evolve over time?

I like my jewelry to be a little worn, when it starts to develop a patina. Silver is malleable and can quickly get a few scratches, but that's what I like. My ring is part of my daily life. I wear it every day, even on vacation, no matter how I'm dressed.

What is your favorite piece of jewelry and why?

" All my jewelry has a story, whether beautiful or sad. I have some that are linked to my children, others to professional milestones. But I think that today the ones I love the most are the ones I bought for myself. This My Way ring is one of my favorite pieces because it marks the end of a story and the beginning of a new adventure. "
