Setting: Your diamonds had better watch out!

Grain setting or claw setting, your diamonds will hold up well, and for a long time. Setting: Your diamonds just have to hold up well!

Essential companions to silver at STATEMENT, diamonds require special expertise to illuminate the surface of a piece of jewelry: that of the setting technique.

To transform a smooth metal surface into a constellation of diamonds, a grain setting is used. This technique, suitable for stones of small diameter and similar dimensions, requires precise work, assisted by a binocular microscope. The artisan setter places the gems in small wells dug into the silver and secures them using tiny metal balls.

Experience and precision are required to achieve consistent diamond threads. It's not just a matter of aesthetics: too thin and the stones may fall out; too thick and the facets playing with the light are obscured.

For larger stones, such as the Asscher diamond at the heart of the MYWAY_06 ring and the half-moon stones of the MOONLIGHT ring, the claw setting will clamp the stone between thin metal rods. Mounted on a sort of cage called a “chaton,” the stone stands out in its majesty, ready to reflect every facet of your personality.
