MATERIALS AND CARE

Silver
Made of rhodium-plated 925 silver, STATEMENT pieces evolve over time: while the rhodium plating prolongs the shine of the silver, it gradually fades due to friction. A natural characteristic of sterling silver, tarnishing depends on many factors, including the acidity of the wearer's skin. We recommend cleaning silver jewelry with a polishing cloth like the one provided with your STATEMENT box.

Gold
Gold retains its luster over time but can tarnish when exposed to chemicals or undergo micro-scratches from daily wear. We recommend regularly cleaning your jewelry with a polishing cloth, like the one included with your STATEMENT box, and storing them individually to avoid any friction that could alter their surface.

Diamonds
We only work with natural diamonds of G-VS quality: they have not undergone any artificial enhancement. Their very fine inclusions acquired over time give them a unique luminous imprint. Diamonds are capable of scratching any other metal or stone they come into contact with. It is advisable to wear diamonds with care to preserve their lasting brilliance and to avoid contact with chemicals such as perfumes or detergents, which can tarnish precious stones. Clean your diamond with lukewarm water by gently rubbing it with a soft brush and then wipe it with a soft cloth.


WARRANTY CERTIFICATE

In accordance with applicable legal provisions, the product is covered by a one-year warranty for any defects in conformity applicable under normal conditions of use from the purchase date indicated on the authenticity certificate or purchase invoice.

Beyond this period, any repairs can be performed by STATEMENT but will be charged to you.

Excluded from this warranty are:

  • Defects resulting from accidents, misuse, or abusive handling (such as impacts, nick marks, crushing).
  • The effects of normal wear and aging of the jewelry.
  • Items purchased during Second Way sales.
  • Purchases made outside the official distribution network, during private STATEMENT sales or from private sale partners.

The warranty can only be applied upon presentation of the duly completed, dated, and signed authenticity certificate from STATEMENT, or the purchase invoice.

Upon receipt of a defective product, an inspection will automatically be carried out by the brand and may lead to a quote payable by the customer if the issue does not fall under the warranty certificate.

Procedure for Requesting After-Sales Service or Repairs:
For any after-sales requests regarding a piece of jewelry, please send an email to boutique@statement.paris.

Please include in your request:

  • Invoice number,
  • An explanation of the issue encountered with the jewelry,
  • One or more photos clearly showing the defect.

Your request will be processed as quickly as possible. Any product returned without our acceptance will be sent back to you.

Your jewelry can be sent to us via the carrier of your choice, at your expense. STATEMENT declines any responsibility in case of damage, loss, or theft during transport. The jewelry can also be dropped off at the STATEMENT store, located at 1 rue du 29 juillet, Paris 1er.

Upon receipt, the jewelry will be diagnosed, and a quote will be sent to you. If you decline the quote, the jewelry will be returned to you, and the return shipping costs will be at your expense. If you accept, the return shipping will be covered by STATEMENT. The repair time is between 2 to 6 weeks depending on the repair. The exact duration will be provided when you drop off the jewelry.

STATEMENT offers a range of services dedicated to the maintenance and customization of your jewelry. These services, performed by our expert artisans, are subject to specific pricing and will require a prior estimate.

Every service request will be examined on a case-by-case basis to ensure technical feasibility and compliance with STATEMENT’s quality standards.

Engraving
The engraving service allows you to personalize your STATEMENT piece by having a name, phrase, or date engraved (within the limits of technical constraints and available space).

Cleaning
The ultrasonic device generates high-frequency waves to dislodge unwanted particles in the jewelry. Through this process, dirt, grease, and dust are removed.

Polishing and Rhodium Plating
Polishing helps erase deep scratches that may have appeared on a piece of jewelry. This process is accompanied by rhodium plating, which enhances the white and shiny color of silver and prevents it from tarnishing, while allowing it to develop a patina.

It is recommended not to perform more than two polishings over the lifetime of your piece to avoid damaging its material.

Ring Resize
The size of your ring can be adjusted up or down, subject to technical feasibility. Due to the complexity of certain designs, this service may not be available for all creations. Our team will perform an assessment before any intervention to determine if resizing is possible.

Necklace Resizing
The length of your necklace chain can be adjusted as necessary by shortening or lengthening the chain.

Bracelet Resizing
The length of your bracelet can be adjusted as possible by shortening or lengthening the chain.

Stone Setting
If a stone has fallen out of your piece, it can be re-set. Our team will conduct a thorough assessment and provide you with an estimate based on the size of the stone to be re-set.


REPAIR SERVICE

STATEMENT jewelry is designed to stand the test of time, but a shock, hit, or alteration may require intervention. Beyond the warranty period, we recommend that you do not wear damaged jewelry and entrust it to our team for evaluation.

Our artisans will carefully analyze the condition of your jewelry, checking the stone settings, the proper functioning of the clasps, and the integrity of the materials. Depending on the diagnosis, damaged elements can be restored, missing parts replaced, and certain structures reinforced, all while respecting the authenticity and quality of your creation.

Each request will result in a detailed estimate, and the repair will be carried out as soon as you give your approval, in the best possible time frame.
